Taking a Fast

Dear Ones..

I will be fasting from writing for an undetermined amount of time. God has my heart under much construction. So you could say, I’m a bit of a road hazard right now. Thank you for understanding.

In Christ

“Collateral of Kindness”

Heavenly Father, before we were in the womb of our mothers, You knew us, (Jer 1:5) You set us apart, each for a divine purpose, to bring You honor and glory through Jesus, by Your Holy Spirit. Not a one of us were an “accident” or a “mistake”, but each one of us were Handcrafted by the MasterCrafstman, The Great I Am Himself-Jehovah God! Not one, not one person is beyond help, beyond hope, beyond salvations reach through Jesus Christ. Oh Father God, use this message to reach into our hearts, to pluck up every lie, every ungodly belief, destroying every high and lofty thing that has built itself against the knowledge of the Truth of Your Word, in Jesus name, and shed abroad in our our hearts, minds, our souls and spirits, like a mighty flood by Your Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, speak the Truth of Who You are, What You say, and Who You call us to be for Your glory, and for the expansion of the Kingdom of God, in Jesus name, Amen!

We can certainly agree, times have changed. I recently shared with a brother that I find myself longing  for simpler times. Though times will keep changing, one thing about people that will remain the same is the need to be accepted. Notice, I said to “be” accepted, not “feel” accepted. God’s word will open the way for us to understand this further.

Let me preface what God has given me today by sharing from my own personal experience. My spiritual address for too many years was on “rejection lane”. Oh my! I overstayed there. I must have packed up all my belongings and tried to move from rejection lane a thousand times, even using the Word of God as my moving van to get out of there…but the problem went deep and the root system went in many directions, causing this strong grip to be a strong-hold in my life.

To the glory and praise of Jesus Christ, I am happy to say, Rejection Lane is no longer my address.  The root system has been cut, the strong grip of enemy has been replaced with the grip of God’s grace and the stronghold has been replaced with the loving and safe embrace of Jesus, my Savior. God graciously moved me by granting me revelation, and bringing “movers” (relationships) that are filled with the Word of God, yes, but those filled with love, grace, mercy, and acceptance through Jesus Christ. You see, I tried to move on my own with God, but God wanted to bring a whole company of movers to help me in my weakness….

Rom 14:1 “Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions.”

Accept in the Greek translatessso beautifully- proslambano-to take in addition, to take to oneself , to take as one’s companion; to take by the hand in order to lead aside  ,to take or receive into one’s home, with the collateral idea of kindness, to receive, that is, to grant one access to one’s heart; to take into friendship (from The Online Bible Thayer’s Greek Lexicon)

God would have us receive another as a companion, leading another aside to the very feet of Jesus, taking this precious one not only into our “home” but into our hearts! How beautiful “with the collateral idea of kindness”..in others words..with the secured interest of kindness. Being that our main focus is kindness, not judgment!

We are human and so we are prone to judge and want to “air our opinion”..but precious ones, we are always first, foremost and forever, accountable to the standard of the Word of God, by the Love of God, and the Holy Spirit is tapping upon my shoulder at this very moment for me to heed this word. Accept the one who is weak in faith..don’t  judge them, love them wherever they are at.  Weak here is the Greek word astheneoto be without strength, to be needy, to be sick, diseased (The Online Bible Thayer’s Greek Lexicon)

Living at Rejected lane..my heart was definitely sick and diseased, and my faith to believe God for others healing seemed stronger than to believe Him for my own. God saw the need to bring others around me who were without judgment, those who are full of His mercy, grace, acceptance and love. He knew my heart was diseased, and so was my faith in Him ! It was poisoned by my hearts wounds. I saw God through the lens of my sick heart, so my view of God was skewed terribly.

It’s all about the collaboration. The ministry of the Trinity….His Kingdom come, His Will be done here on earth..AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. God, the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are constantly working together for the purposes of the Kingdom. Jesus while here on earth lived to bring glory to the Father in Heaven and now by the Holy Spirit, the Father in Heaven uses The Bride of Christ to bring glory to Jesus Christ!

Romans 15 talks about those who are strong to bear with those without strength…

Rom 15:1-2 “Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.”

What does is look like to be of those who are strong?  This Greek word isdunatos– and is; able, strong in soul, to bear calamities and trials with fortitude and patience, strong in Christian virtue, to be able (to do something), excelling in something, having power for something (from The Online Bible Thayer’s Greek Lexicon )

Those who have been given the anointing and God given strength to bear through a trial someone else does not yet have their “faith legs” for, the strong one in Christ, stands with that weak one, holding them up through intercession, being a good listener,  sharing words of encouragement, however the Holy Spirit calls that strong servant to serve through Jesus for Jesus. Surrender will always bring about victory (Exodus 17:10-13, Phil 2:5-11) “Strong in Christian virtue”– those who don’t just talk the talk but walk the walk. Who live the Word..who live out the character of Jesus Christ by a life yielded to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.  (James 1:23-25)

Rom 14:19 “ So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.”

Lately, God has brought to my attention the danger of narcissism. Narcissists usually care more with getting heard than with hearing another’s heart. They are proud, defensive, argumentative, self-absorbed, controlling, and all about themselves. My guess would be, not good team players. Every human being has narcissistic tenancies, so there is a constant need to ask the Holy Spirit to purge away our selfish ways, that Jesus would increase and we would decrease. ( John 3:30)

May we all, beginning with me, Oh God, truly be one with You in Jesus name, in rhythm with Your Holy Spirit, bearing with those around us who are weak, who may not be where we think they should be, but where You are allowing them to be. May we each have a humble estimation of ourselves, and remember You God are The Perfect One, in Jesus name. We are being perfected through Jesus Christ. Reveal each day to us, there is a world of broken hearts and lives out there, that even though changes happen, people are hungry to know they are accepted, accepted in the Beloved as beloved children of the Most High God through Jesus Christ. Open their eyes that they may see, open their hearts that they might have true revelation Oh God, of Your crazy love for us all through the sacrificial gift of The Son of God, Jesus Christ. And God, I pray for those reading this who do not know and believe they are accepted in the Beloved..those struggling and want to change their address..bring about them, brothers and sisters in Christ, who will love them in the Lord, build them up in the Most Holy Faith, in Jesus name, wash them with the water of the Word, hear their heart’s cry, and really see them! In Jesus name. Love on them God and remind them how precious they are to YOU..that they are so valuable that if they were the only human on the planet, You, Jesus, would have still taken the nails for them! Let healing break forth ..In Jesus name!

Rom 14:7-8 “For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself;  for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.”

Rom 14:11-12 “ For it is written, AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD.   So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

Rom 14:16-17 “ Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Rom 15:5-7 “Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,  so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.”

Loving to Love through Jesus

Heavenly Father, in Jesus name, by Your Holy Spirit, may You, the Triune God, increase through this transformational, that I may decrease, in Jesus name. May Your Holy Spirit pour out revelation to all who take precious time to read this, in Jesus name. Fill us Spirit of Truth by the Word of Truth, through the Word of God, in Jesus name. May all that is of God be imparted, in Jesus name, and all that is of flesh, may it fall useless to the ground in Jesus name. May we hunger and thirst for more of You, not from our head knowledge, but from the depths of our hearts God..that You would transform us and make us new, in Jesus name, Amen.

The more God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit reveals Himself to me, the more I come to realize my  lack of the revelation of God. There may be a “head” knowledge, but what is desperately needed is a radical “train wreck in my heart, if you will, where all that is of self is completely derailed by heaven’s surge. Like a divine tidal wave of Holy Spirit revelation that bursts forth and re-calibrates every part of my life, how I see God, see the world, see others, and see myself. That all things are made new ; my heart’s desires are changed, purposes are made new, divine directions are clear, there is an awakening to God’s vision, and interaction with others becomes filtered through Jesus and what He has done for me, not by what others have done or can do for me. (2 Cor 5:16-21)That I would declare..  “But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.  More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ.” (Phil 3:7-8)

Because of a precious friend, I was challenged to look up what “vision” means in the bible dictionary. It says; to be awake, recognized revelation of the divine will of God”. We were on the subject of Hos 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”One commentary says about this verse, “people go into captivity for lack of vision” (Barnes) Another commentary said,” because there was no vision, or none to any purpose, the people perished, (Prov 29:18.) (Matthew Henry)’

We,.. I, have to be cautious not to try to “box” up the Holy Spirit, and say divine vision means, what a “ministry calling” or categorize what divine vision according to God looks like. However, for this communication, God has set a purpose by His Spirit. One is that we might be moved to cry out to Him for deep intercession, that He would grant awakening and divine revelation to men, women and children across this Nation and all nations, of the love of God through Christ Jesus! That  knowledge and vision, divine revelation would come from the Lord by the Holy Spirit, which would cause people to be set free from their captivity! In Jesus Name! Isa 49:8-9 “This is what the Lord says:”In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, `Come out,’ and to those in darkness, `Be free!” People perish for lack of knowledge…let us pray God grants them knowledge of the Holy One, in Jesus name!

Another purpose I sense from the Holy Spirit came from Rev 2:1-5 “”To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:  “I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;  and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.  “But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. “Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; “

Before I lose some you to thinking I am finger pointing, I humbly repeat my opening statement of my own personal struggle; “There may be a “head” knowledge, but what is desperately needed is a radical “train wreck in my heart”. An awakening from God, to where we are individually, will transform the landscape corporately. Families, communities, cities, states and Nations through and by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ will be so impacted by our personal revival. May God grant us the revelation of the Divine love that raises the dead, wakes those in a spiritual slumber, the Love that reaches into the darkest places to rescue those the world sees as refuse, the Love that never turns away, though we turn away from Him, the Love that never lies, though we lie to Him, the Love that never fails, though we falter and give up, the Love that never points an accusing finger, never reminds us of our past, but encourages us of our redemptive future in Jesus. May God grant us a deeper, higher, longer, wider revelation of the love through Jesus Christ ..that we would be rooted and established in love, having power together to grasp how wide and long and high and deep  the love of Christ is, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Eph 3:17-19)

Here are some scriptures to mediate on, should the Holy Spirit lead you to read them. Jesus Himself forewarns us that in times to come the love of many will “wax” cold (Matt 24:9-13)  To wax would mean, like boiling water in a tea pot..eventually all the water has evaporated away. Oh..may we be continually filled to the overflow with the Love of Christ only because we recognize how bankrupt we are otherwise….

May you begin in me Abba Father…in Jesus name, by Your Holy Spirit. Forgive me for all the hate I have felt for others. Forgive me for judgment, criticism, jealousy, insecurities and all things that have become like a veil, keeping me from seeing others from Your perspective, through Your pure Love, through the Redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Forgive all grumbling, complaining, fault finding, finger pointing. In Jesus name. Manifest Yourself in me Lord Jesus, Father God, Holy Spirit…bring me and Your Bride back to Jesus, Our First Love..and move us to repentance now..that Your Love in us would not wax cold.. .. and move us to those things we did at first..from hearts on fire with zeal for Your Kingdom purposes…lives healed, delivered, touched by Your Love, grace, mercy and truth, in Jesus name. Amen. “ Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.” (Ps 19:14)

Matthew 5: 1-12 “ When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.  “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Amazing isn’t it? Blessed are those who recognize they are spiritually bankrupt without the grace of God through Jesus Christ! Those who are not spiritually arrogant…. this true attribute opens the way for all the rest of the treasures of the Beatitudes to become a manifest need in our lives, causing us to be open and responsive to God and His divine purposes..not reactive to the world or the flesh.)

Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.” (1 Cor 8:1)

Phil 2:14-16 “ Do all things without grumbling or disputing;  so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,  holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.”

1 Peter 4:9-10 “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.

Matt 24:9-13 “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. “At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

Heb 10:32-36 “But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings, partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated.  For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and a lasting one. Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”

1 Cor 10:6-13 “ Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “THE PEOPLE SAT DOWN TO EAT AND DRINK, AND STOOD UP TO PLAY.” Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents.  Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.  Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.  No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”

The drudges of grudges or the flourishes of forgiveness

Heavenly Father, bless Your Holy Name. Let Your Kingdom purposes come and Your will be done and accomplished through this message now, in Jesus name, by Your Holy Spirit, as it is in Heaven. Continue Oh God to unveil, uncover, and unmask all that is in our heart and lives that You desire to deal with and heal us from in our lives, that we may confess all You move us to confess as sinful behavior, knowing we will be cleansed of all unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus! (1 John 1:9)

Cause us to bow our lives and hearts to none other than to God the Father, to our Savior King Jesus Christ, to the Holy Spirit..let our aim be to only that which is for God’s Kingdom glory..for that sake of Love, unity, holiness, righteousness and the Truth of the Gospel!

Isa 45:5-6 “I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from Me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged Me,  so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.”

James 5:9 “Don’t grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door! (NIV)

James 5:9  “Grudge not one against another” (KJV)

Grudge in the Greek translation literally means to cherish anger.  If one cherishes anger, cares for the anger, feeds into it, “nurses the anger, their spiritual, mental and emotional “landscape” can transform from anger to murderous thoughts, feelings and actions. A cherished grudge can grow into hateful thoughts, bringing words of death spoken into or about another person or the calling on another one’s life. Let’s look at this through the lens of Scripture. “So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to, because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him. Finally the opportune time came. On his birthday Herod gave a banquet for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee. When the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”  She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?” “The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.” (Mark 6:19-24)

What we see here in Herodias James 1:14-16 played out. She nursed, and cared for a grudge against John the Baptist. Why? Because she was convicted from the words God Himself spoke through the prophet John, and she hated the light of the truth, for that revealed the darkness in her. (Mark 6:18,

1 John 1:8-10) Herodias conceived anger, gave birth to the grudge, nursed the grudge so much so, that it became hate which in turn grew up to maturity, becoming murder..leading to the death of John the Baptist. “ But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”

Jesus is Author of Life..we know, we believe and declare this to be so through our lives, within and all around our lives. If we look at the end of Mark 6:24 we read; “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” …and in Est 5:3 “Then the king asked, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given you.”Both of these women were given the same opportunity, to have whatever they requested, even up to half the kingdom! Herodias, who had hate and murder in her heart from nursing a grudge requested the death of one of God’s own. Esther’s request was that the lives of her people would be spared.

My Pastor, Jeff Sickles, spoke Sunday from Proverbs and the book of Esther. You can go  to (http://www.snohomishefc.com/#/sermons) to listen. ( click on 6/24 sermon) As Pastor Jeff spoke of Haman, the Holy Spirit ministered to me that this is what we are truly battling, first within, then without! The spirit of Haman! The details of my Pastor’s point of Haman’s anger were, that Mordecai would not bow to give Haman what he wanted and felt he was due. Haman’s desire was for more, his was a selfish ambition, to glorify self, and hated Mordecai’s desire to glorify only God, bowing to God alone, giving preference and reference to no man, but only to Jehovah God!! Haman, like Herodias, nursed a grudge so intensely, that hate and murder was born to such extreme, that he not only wanted death to come to Mordecai but to all of the Jews!  We can see this same spirit down through the ages. This spirit of Haman, or Herodias.  And we see this at work in our time right now. It is vital we ask God to grant us hearts like that of Mordecai, bowing to no one and nothing but God alone through Jesus Christ, as well as asking God for a heart of intercession like Esther.

As children of God, ambassadors of Jesus Christ, we are called to forgive every grievance we have against one another. Col 3:12-14 “ Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Joseph, was hated by his own brothers, left in a pit, sold into slavery,  was wrongly accused placed in prison.. yet saw his misery turned to ministry by God. This flesh and blood man could have held a grudge, nursed it many times over, yet here is what his chosen response was to those brothers that betrayed him; When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?” So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions before he died: This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept. His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said.  But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?  You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Gen 50:15-21)

Grudges can be birthed from jealousy and coveting; “ Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” (Gen 27:41)

Grudges come straight from the pit of hell and can breed a spirit of distraction, restlessness, a feeling of pressure in the lives of those we hold a grudge against and they can sense the spirit of anger coming against them. Ps 55:1-3 “Give ear to my prayer, O God; And do not hide Yourself from my supplication. Give heed to me and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and am surely distracted,  Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the pressure of the wicked; For they bring down trouble upon me And in anger they bear a grudge against me.”

Forgiveness overrules and overrides the enemy’s schemes through Jesus Christ, in Jesus Name; “If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven-if there was anything to forgive-I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,  in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. (2 Cor 2:9-11)

Forgiveness loves and love forgives “Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” (1 Cor 13:4-8 )

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Eph 5:1-2)

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Eph 4:32)

Little foxes

Heavenly Father, personally, I am extremely humbled and grateful that You do not leave us the way we are, but continually lead us into all truth, that Your Word is truth, that You desire truth in the inner parts of who we are, that we may be pure vessels for Your glory, in Jesus name (John 16:13, John 17:17 Ps 51:6, 2 Cor 7:1) Abba Father, we desire healing in the Body of Christ, so we welcome the Great Physician, Jesus, to have His way, by the Holy Spirit’s ministry, in revealing that which You desire us to see and know, and all that You Father are calling us to renounce as sin, and surrender to You in repentance, that we may be healed and restored, that times of refreshing may come to Your Church, in Jesus name. (James 5:16, Acts 3:19) You desire the world to see a glorious Bride..that those not yet part of the Bride would desire to become a part of a Whole and Healthy Church, in and through Jesus Christ! Make it so Lord Jesus we pray, in Your name!

Song 2:15 “ Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”

Prior to verse 15, we read all about the sweet communion the Bride prefers with her Bridegroom above all others. She recalls herself to be, like a weary traveler, being taken by her Rescuing Bridegroom, to His Banquet hall, that He alone has refreshed her and strengthened her by the fruit of His Word, coming under her with His everlasting arms to uphold her very life!! Song 2:4-6 “ He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love. His left arm is under my head, and his right arm embraces me.”

The echoing of her heart here is vital for us to see before we can gras

p the power of God’s message today through Song 2:15. We too, join our King, our Bridegroom at His Banquet table..His Banquet table which is set with the fruits of His love. And at that table, with Him, sits His entire Bride..the Whole Body of Christ.

So, she, the Bride cries with her Bridegroom/Shepherd/Warrior King, to catch for US, The Bride..”the little foxes that ruin the vines”. She doesn’t say, “catch for me” Song 2:15 “ Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes” Don’t we just love God’s heart of community here? A cry for all! That is the heart of the Abba Father (John 3:16-17) Aren’t we utterly grateful that the heart of God is that He desires to eradicate completely anything and everything that would interrupt complete communion with Him and with one another through Jesus?

What are the “little foxes”? If we go over to Luke 13:31-32 “ At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go tell that fox, `I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’” WOW! I had never seen those words before, “Go tell that fox!” There it is Church..Herod was a murderer! If we look at what comes through the spirit of murder we will see, strife, jealousy, bitterness, envy, wrath, rage, anger, hate, and here comes Cain against Abel! Gen 4:6-8 “Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.” Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.”

Satan is the one who brings murder, Jesus is the Author of Life! God the Father, by His Holy Spirit desires to root out and reveal the little foxes that are doing BIG damage to The Bride of His Beloved Son Jesus. How many fathers out there are extremely protective of their son’s brides? Or how many husband’s out there are protective of their own brides? All this to say, The Triune God loves His Church, His Beloved Bride so extensively that He will not keep the darkness in the dark..but let His light bring all things to light!

Ezek 13:1-16 is also referenced to little foxes. As I read what the Lord spoke here, the Holy Spirit convicted me of false words I have spoken in the past or I’ve tried to declare over my life, heart, family, home, city or nation, by saying “all is well”, “nothing wrong here”, instead of Ezek 13:5, building of wall of True intercession, by seeing things for what they really are, receiving the truth, speaking the truth, renouncing and repenting according to the Truth of God, and declaring the Word of God over the lives and cities and nations! Fear can keep us not only bound, but blind as well…but “there is no fear in love for God’s perfect love casts out all fear, for fear has to do with torment” (1 John 4:18)

May we choose to walk in the freedom of Jesus Christ, and see the little foxes in our own lives, homes, relationship, churches, cities, nations, and be moved by the Holy Spirit to do all that God intends for us to do from the pure heart He Himself will grant us, for His glory in Jesus name!

Instead of scriptures below, here is a Matthew Henry Commentary on Song 2:15

For the fame of Jesus Christ; the healing of His Bride; & the healing of the Nations (Rev 22:2)

Julianna Hab 2:14

“Take us the foxes (take them for us, for it is good service both to Christ and the church), the little foxes, that creep in insensibly; for, though they are little, they do great mischief, they spoil the vines, which they must by no means be suffered to do at any time, especially now when our vines have tender grapes that must be preserved, or the vintage will fail. Believers are as vines, weak but useful plants; their fruits are as tender crops at first, which must have time to come to maturity. This charge to take the foxes is, A charge to particular believers to mortify their own corruptions, their sinful appetites and passions, which are as foxes, little foxes, that destroy their graces and comforts, quash good motions, crush good beginnings, and prevent their coming to perfection. Seize the little foxes, the first risings of sin, the littles ones of Babylon (Ps 137:9), those sins that seem little, for they often prove very dangerous. Whatever we find a hindrance to us in that which is good we must put away. . A charge to all in their places to oppose and prevent the spreading of all such opinions and practices as tend to corrupt men’s judgments, debauch their consciences, perplex their minds, and discourage their inclinations to virtue and piety. Persecutors are foxes (Luke 13:32); false prophets are foxes, Ezek 13:4. Those that sow the tares of heresy or schism, and, like Diotrephes, trouble the peace of the church and obstruct the progress of the gospel, they are the foxes, the little foxes, which must not be knocked on the head (Christ came not to destroy men’s lives), but taken, that they may be tamed, or else restrained from doing mischief. The believing profession which the church makes of her relation to Christ, and the satisfaction she take sin her interest in him and communion with him.”(from Matthew Henry’s Commentary)
